Description We are on the lookout for an experienced Controller to join our team based in Amherst, New York. This role involves a comprehensive understanding of full-cycle accounting, including balance sheet analysis, reporting, and month-end close. The Controller will also be in charge of maintaining the general ledger, internal controls, and oversight of accounts receivable and accounts payable functions. This position is on a contract basis.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure full cycle accounting processes are carried out effectively and efficiently.

• Conduct thorough balance sheet analysis and reporting.

• Handle month-end close procedures.

• Maintain the general ledger to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the company's assets.

• Oversee the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions to ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions.

• Analyze sales pricing to ensure profitability.

• Perform cross-functional reporting to provide comprehensive financial information.

• Manage cost control measures to maintain profitability.

• Utilize accounting software systems effectively to streamline processes and improve productivity. Requirements

• Must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in a Controller or similar role

• Must possess experience in a manufacturing company setting

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required

• Must have comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary

• Proficiency in Budget Processes is vital

• Must be experienced in Balance Sheet Reconciliation and Balance Sheets

• A strong ability to perform Analysis on financial data is required

• Experience in managing Profit and Loss statements is essential.
