The Institutional Research Department at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE), benefit eligible position of Business Intelligence Analyst. The Analyst will be a key partner in the advancement of institutional data and analytics initiatives in support of continuous improvement of the student experience. Responsibilities Working alongside IT Services, assist Director of Strategic Analytics & Financial Strategy with development and implementation of a modernized institutional data & reporting platform. Serve as the primary liaison between Institutional Research and IT services. Work collaboratively with the Director of Strategic Analytics & Financial Strategy to continuously develop and improve institutional reporting & analytic capabilities. Transform institutional data from disparate systems and data from external sources into actionable information using dashboards and data visualization. Work closely with business users and stakeholders to understand their analytical needs and translate them into technical requirements for BI solutions. Identify and resolve data-related issues, ensuring data integrity and stability across institutional BI systems. Supply end users with access to data and analysis to directly support their initiatives to enhance institutional effectiveness. Develop processes for automating reporting for the institutional leadership team utilizing census and live data from systems across campuses. Develop systems for streamlining external compliance reporting (e.g. IPEDS) and other external survey completion (e.g. US News) Perform ad hoc analysis in support of institutional strategic initiatives. Create data models for end users self-service reporting & analysis. Train end users in the appropriate use and interpretation of data models and reports. Assist the Director of Strategic Analytics & Financial Strategy with data governance & security initiatives.
