About the role
What you need to know:
The Business Development Manager in Agency involves close collaboration with different business divisions such as financial lines, casualty, marine and personal insurance and the producer who promotes AIG products suites.
This role will help to drive and meet agency business objectives, and at the same time, help the producers meet their professional goals. Thus, it is important that the person understands the company sales process (product, underwriting appetite, compliance, claims, service process) and the external market environment (customer buying trends, competitor's strength and weaknesses).
To achieve Agency and team’s production budget
To develop and work with an assigned group of agents by promoting them to Club Qualification and lead our business function within the team.
Collaborate with producers to identify business opportunities and build accounts pipeline through the producer’s clientele base.
Be proficient with sales numbers through daily production tracking and trending.
To develop and implement best practices within our agency business support function.
Participate in regular and ad-hoc agency events.
What we’re looking for:
Bachelors’ Degree Preferred
Experience in General Insurance industry with good knowledge of both Consumer and Commercial products
Possess BCP, PGI, ComGI & Health Insurance certification
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build credibility quickly with new agents
Adaptable and able to work independently and under stress
