Business Development Manager - Alternators for Gen-Sets

About the role:
WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our team. This role will establish profitable growth and increase the market penetration for WEG-s Alternator products in assigned territory. The primary focus will be building the customer base via new business development activities while increasing brand awareness in the power generation market in the <4MVA range. Together with the leadership team, this position will define the optimal markets and offerings for respective pursuits, identify OEM and project opportunities, communicating throughout the organization as appropriate.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for executing sales growth plan within the region contributing to R2 for sales growth and ROIC.
Drives sales for all product segments (gen-set, marine, 400hz, projects, etc.) for OEM, packagers and distribution verticals.
Responsible for oversight of complete sales process, engaging proactively with inside sales, application engineering and product management, ensuring overall customer satisfaction.
Leads and directs business development initiatives through long term relationships with strategic accounts in the region.
Serves as local SME supporting TAMs and distribution network.
Builds and protects WEGs local brand (investigating & participating in relevant conferences, opening paths for technical papers, etc.
Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Education:
Bachelor-s degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university, or equivalent work experience.Knowledge / training:
Understanding and knowledge of gen-set manufacturing market.
Previous sales experience with technical OEMs and proposing appropriate product solutions, preferably with gen-set packagers and OEMs
Technical understanding of electrical fundamentals, alternators/ generators or gen-set components and related gen-set applications
Understanding of importance of long-term relationships, proven communicator with all levels of management
Excellent communication skills at all levels and all disciplines of an organization.
Experience and proven success in evaluating and navigating through complex commercial business situations.
Must be self-motivated and goal orientated.
Able to work in a collaborative team environment.
Able to identify business opportunities and bring short- and long-term projects to completion.
Ability and willingness to travel nationwide 50%-70%.
Experience:
