  Position Description:

  Performs specialized, complex work to assist in the organization and implementation of various projects and programs. Work is performed under supervision within established guidelines with performance based on overall results obtained. Analyzes and coordinates student records to ensure degree plan accuracy and program compliance.

  Major/Essential Functions:

  Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by laws, campus policies, and administrative regulations.

  Assist in analyzing student data and reports focused on new or ongoing initiatives.

  Keep abreast of changing rules, techniques, technologies, and philosophies relevant to advising.

  Review transcripts and other data to ensure students meet graduation requirements; including degree audits for Honors graduation.

  Prepare reports on students as required by administration.

  Assist with appropriate communication with students, faculty, etc. and documentation gathering to resolve referrals for student cases.

  Assist with Honors College events, including convocation and Medallion ceremonies.

  Assist in the coordination of the Honors College Medallion ceremony.

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Experience working with degree audits and/or advising.

  Experience working with Honors College students, staff and/or faculty.

  Fluency with technology (including experience with Banner, PeopleSoft, DegreeWorks, etc.)

  Ability to interpret and apply program rules and regulations; ability to use initiative and resourcefulness in planning work assignments and in implementing long-range program improvements.

  Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and high degree of openness to new approaches and new ideas.

  Strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills.

  Proficiency with technology (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

  Knowledge of FERPA and ethical principles in working with students.
