About Business Development Manager, Ad Measurement and Planning Partnerships

  This role may also be located in our Playa Vista, CA campus.

  Minimum qualifications:

  Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  5 years of experience in business development (i.e., leading agreement consultations or managing executive relationships with partners in an internet or media company).

  Experience working cross-functionally at an executive level, both internally and externally.

  Preferred qualifications:

  Master's degree or PhD.

  Experience discussing and managing strategic partnerships in the advertising and/or media industry.

  Understanding of Google’s products, the advertising industry, and the advertising measurement and planning space.

  Outstanding strategic acumen and analytical skills, with attention to detail, and the ability to manage ambiguity and a rapidly changing business environment.

  Excellent people and communication skills, with the ability to form and articulate contractual, technical, financial and strategic value points, and strategic trade-offs with partners and internal teams.

  As a Business Development Manager for Ad Measurement and Planning Partnerships, you’ll work directly with cross-functional executives and key leaders, both internally and with partners, on critical projects that drive Google’s advertising business. In this role, you will lead strategic discussions with key multinational partners that help highlight the value of Google’s advertising solutions, and ensure that Google’s own advertising measurement and planning products are the best. You’ll independently drive business-critical projects from beginning to end, manage the relationships with strategic partners, and develop an insightful perspective on the latest industry trends and market opportunities. You’ll work closely with cross-functional peers and leadership throughout Google, and provide coaching and thought-partnership to other members of the Global Ads Partnerships team.

  The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

  The US base salary range for this full-time position is $126,000-$188,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   Lead partnership discussions and manage executive relationships and integrations with strategic partners.

  Structure and discuss term sheets and agreements for business-critical partnerships. Manage implementation and ongoing operations of strategic partnerships, including executive escalations.

  Understand the full scope of partners’ businesses and strategic objectives to maximize the potential of Google’s partnerships.

  Drive the development of strategic and quantitative market analyses to identify and prioritize business opportunities for Google’s advertising business.

  Collaborate with a broad range of internal constituents (product, engineering, sales, legal, PR etc.), and work with Google’s cross-functional leadership to define, present, launch, and drive critical partnerships and organizational initiatives.
