The impact you'll make:
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for the development of new business in an assigned geographic area. Plans, directs, and controls the sales activities of the organization's national sales programs to increase revenue within specific key metro areas within the region through new account acquisition. Responsible for generating leads for designated area and pursuing new commercial partnerships. Will be the face of our company to prospective key account partners and need to be able to effectively represent and promote the Avis and Budget brands, products and services to decision makers, Procurement heads, all the way to the C-level suite in most cases.
What you'll do:
Identify, target, and successfully acquire new accounts within the defined market segment. This is a Hunter Role; cold calling required. Identify, target, and prospect potential accounts. Develop a strategic assessment of their organizational structure including key decision makers, hot buttons, pain points, and critical initiatives. Develop a strategic timeline and organized plan to acquire the business. Plan and executes effective strategies to develop relationships with key stakeholders in target accounts, typically at various levels including senior management and executive. Conducts tailored sales presentations ranging from an initial introduction to a best-in-class RFP pitch to win the business. Monitor, research, and report findings on market developments. Coordinate efforts with multiple departments including marketing, pricing, and sales on promotion initiatives. Maintain accurate account information and development plans on Salesforce.com. Conduct negotiations to reach agreements. Share best practices learned on competitive accounts with ABG operational and sales leadership to support the opportunity for creation of new operations and/or sales opportunities. Attending tradeshows and conferences with the purpose of finding new account contacts and leads.

Strong financial acumen. Strong pipeline management skills Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including proficiency in SalesForce.com. Requires excellent analytical ability, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in teams.
What we're looking for:
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline. 3 to 5 years' experience in B2B sales; travel industry preferred. Strong track record of proven sales performance and driving new account acquisition. Background in working with Fortune 500 companies with formal procurement processes governing RFP processes. Experience working with and engaging accountable executives within an organization to garner influence above and beyond the RFP stakeholders.
Travel Requirements:
Willingness to travel overnight for business is required. Valid driver's license required.
