The OpportunityThis job will develop and implement sales and business development strategiesthat promote continued growth and profitability for an assigned region bydeveloping and maintaining regular contact with brokers to strengthen businessrelationships and equip brokers with information and tools that support theachievement of new business and retention sales objectives for assignedregion.
Primary Responsibilities* Develop specific operations strategy and initiatives in order to deliversynergy between strategy and business goals to meet new business,profitability, and policy retention goals* Promote accuracy and efficiency in processes to provide strong clientsupport; evaluate operational issues to determine if competitive and current* Network internally and externally to promote QBE interests and aid inidentifying new opportunities; generate new business premium and policy growth* Maintain regular contact with brokers to strengthen business relationshipsand equip them with information and tools that support the achievement of newbusiness and retention sales objectives* Facilitate delivery and participate in execution of business plans forassigned brokers to achieve business goals that are in alignment with theregion's profitability and growth expectations* Conduct research and analysis on emerging industry trends, issues, andcompetitive intelligence* Oversee agency collateral, compliance, value proposition services, andmarket research* Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders includingcustomers, brokers, business partners, and colleagues in order tomaximize influence* Oversee the implementation of sales and marketing tactics to supportcontinued growth and profitability* Facilitate resolution of business problems and significant business changeto implement solutions in a controlled manner* Liaise with business leaders by sharing knowledge and leveraging teamresources to raise awareness of marketing team capabilities and build trustingrelationships* Manage and support event planning team by gaining understanding of customergoals to share knowledge, foster team understanding and acquire necessaryresources to meet objectives* Partner with department peers by collaboratively reviewing marketingmaterials and sharing knowledge to foster consistency of departmentdeliverables and alignment with organizational brand* Manage budgeted resources by anticipating expenditures, accuratelyforecasting resource needs/costs and properly accounting for expenses tomeet requirements and achieve fiscal responsibility
Required EducationBachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Preferred Licenses/CertificationsContinuing education in Chartered Property Casulaty Underwriter (CPCU)Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC)Insurance Institute of America (IIA)or related insurance disciplines
