Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in an analytics or data scientist role.
Experience writing SQL queries and working with multiple data sets to generate reporting/insights.
Preferred qualifications: Experience in a Sales or Customer Service environment. Knowledge of data analysis tools (R, Python) and techniques (experimental analysis, predictive modeling, machine learning, etc.).
Excellent problem-solving skills, with ability to synthesize data into useful formats and bring actionable insights through effective communication. Excellent project management skills, with ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, tight deadlines, in a high-paced and dynamic environment.
Comfort with engineering practices around analytical accuracy (e.g., development of BRDs/PRDs/Design Docs, checking in and reviewing code, etc.).

gTech's Product and Tools Operations team (gPTO) leverages deep user, operational, and technical insights to innovate Google's Ads products into customer experiences that are so intuitive (or automated) that they require no support at all. gPTO partners closely with gTech's Support, Professional Services, Product Management, and Engineering teams to innovate and simplify our Ads products and build the productivity tools ecosystem for gTech users.
The Data, Architecture, Tools and Analytics (gDATA) team supports the gTech Ads organization. They manage and utilize large data sets to solve difficult, non-routine analysis problems while also providing operational analytics and reporting. The team combines analytical excellence, objectivity, and an understanding of business strategies and operations to enable gTech and the Ads ecosystem business to drive smart business decisions.

Responsibilities
Provide data-driven insights and analytical support for the gTech Ads organization. Focus on solving strategic and operational problems by working with large amounts of data that reside on our internal systems, conceptualizing and building analytical solutions, generating data insights, translating them into actionable recommendations, and influencing important business decisions.
