The Digital Innovation Accelerator (DIA) team mission is to further a culture of innovation and drive business value by bringing emerging digital technologies and new capabilities to Sherwin-Williams’ Digital DNA.
The Business Analyst Lead, Innovation is responsible for working with our internal business stakeholders, across Digital Technology, with external vendors, and with research partners to assess emerging technology and align to business opportunity. You collaborate to identify and create business value statements and use case hypothesis. The role is accountable for the delivery of research, proof of concept, and incubation projects. Your work is focused on specific emerging technology and new capability topics as defined through high-level DIA annual focus areas defined in collaboration with the business stakeholders. Example focus areas might include marketing technology, augmented and virtual reality, augmented operations, generative AI, knowledge management, IoT, digital twin, edge computing, data visualization, and many other emerging technologies that are always coming to the forefront as technology advances.
The Business Analyst Lead, Innovation coordinates with DIA project management, Sherwin-Williams project management office, product and platform delivery teams, and external solution partners utilizing agile methodologies to produce work deliverables. The role must assess what is possible or needed, what is required to answer the need, identify and pursue innovation research, identify and document scope. Essential to the role is strategic relationship building, communication, and engagement with business and Digital Technology stakeholders.
Critical to the role is a strong passion for continuous education and personal research. The Business Analyst Lead, Innovation has strong relationship building skills and experience, has a passion for innovation, thrives to understand emerging technologies, and values continuous education. The role has a Design Thinking mindset and keeps the end user and stakeholders needs always in mind. Finally, the role is responsible for preparing project documentation, presentations, and research/proof of concept/incubation readouts outlining project goals and results.
