Job Description
WHAT'S THE JOB?
The Building Technician is responsible for maintaining and servicing various building equipment and machinery. They ensure the smooth operation of these systems, conduct regular inspections, and perform necessary repairs or replacements to ensure safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair building equipment and machinery.
Perform preventative maintenance to extend the lifespan of equipment.
Monitor and maintain building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and more.
Diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with other departments for efficient building operations.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
Assist in the procurement of necessary parts and equipment for repairs.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
Stay updated with industry trends, new equipment, and maintenance techniques.
Qualifications
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
College or University Diploma/Degree
Proven experience as a building technician or similar role.
Strong knowledge of building systems and equipment.
Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Good physical condition and dexterity.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Supervisory skill
433A skillset is important.
Basic IT knowledge
Project management skill
