As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Middle Market Private Equity Broking Team in St. Louis. This role is a hybrid working style. You will be expected to be in the office 2 to 3 days a week.
What the day will look like
As a Broker within the Private Equity group you will be focusing on handling new business within the Middle Market. You will build and cultivate relationships with internal teams, external partners and underwriters. You will bring your expertise and knowledge of a broad range of industries within Property & Casualty.
Essential job functions
Perform the services of a Middle Market Property and Casualty Broker for Private Equity Middle Market clients
Placement of new and renewal P&C programs including drafting submissions
Complete placements in short time frames and servicing those placements including their renewals
Work with Due Diligence team to budget and place new business in very short time frames
Analyze and review insurance programs for clients to determine optimum program including pricing, terms and conditions.
Help with the development of new and innovative solutions for the Private Equity community
Develop and maintain positive relationships with the carriers that write both Middle Market and Upper Middle Market P&C business
Mentor and help develop associate brokers on the team
Work as a team member and collaborate with other colleagues within the Aon M&A and Transaction Solutions group
Skills and experience that will lead to success
3+ years of proven experience placing and servicing P&C business
Some M&A experience is a plus including Due Diligence projects
Strong understanding of Middle Market P&C risks and carrier appetites
Broad relationships with the carriers that write Middle Market P&C business
Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of proven experience.
Active Property & Casualty license
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $95,000 - $105,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
