　　Job Description

　　Responsibilties:

　　Design and produce graphic elements for broadcast, web and print with a primary focus on daily animations for live evening news broadcast;

　　Collaborate with producers, junior staff, journalists and editors to conceptualize visual elements for on-air and online segments. Graphic artwork for news segments may include charts, graphs, diagrams, maps, digital photographs and formatted text for quotes or statements. Original logo designs are required for special programming titles and branded segments;

　　Deliver files in final format to editors for post-production and control room for live broadcast;

　　Non-broadcast design projects include promotional material for magazines, flyers, posters and website banner advertisements;

　　Additional duties, as assigned.

　　Qualifications: Qualified candidates will possess exceptional planning, organization, communication, problem analysis and decision-making skills as well as the ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines. Additional qualifications include: At least 2 years of experience working in digital media with demonstrated skills in typography, design layout, animation and visual communication;

　　Proficiency with Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator;

　　Proficiency with Airtable and Slack software.

　　Candidates with knowledge of digital file format compression for still images and video are preferred.

　　This is a hybrid position. The incumbent will be expected work in the Newark, NJ offices and attend meetings. The WNET Group reserves the right to change and/or modify the hybrid schedule at its discretion.

Salary ranges are based on benchmarked nonprofit and industry related data provided by an outside consulting firm and are commensurate with skills and experience. The hiring salary range for this position is $60,000 - 65,000. Internal equity considerations will be reviewed before making a final offer.
