  Position: Branch Operations Manager

  Job Location: Benicia, CA

  Job Type: Full-Time

  Status: Exempt

  Summary of the Role

  The Branch Operations Manager plans, schedules and supervises the activities of the assigned Operations team on a day-to-day basis (coordination requires important part of time) and provides expert knowledge for more complex issues, in line with department/functional guidelines and procedures, in order to contribute to efficient and customized operations. They are responsible for coordinating the daily operations of the Branch with manufacturing centers, purchasing, and the Customer Service teams. They are responsible for the facility and employees; which include the Warehouse/Manufacturing, Quality, Safety, Shipping and Receiving, VMI, Drivers and Counter Sales (if applicable). The overarching goal is to ensure OTD for the Branch and to support the organization in obtaining its goals and objectives by operating in a cost-effective manner that leads to higher profits.

  Responsibilities

  Must maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures.

  Responsible for Cross departmental coordination and communication (purchasing, safety, quality, sales, customer service and field service (if applicable))

  Manage the personnel for efficiencies and error reductions. Ensure on-time delivery to customer expectations.

  Monitor and Manage inventory to working capital requirements and maximize turns, while keeping the customer delivery commitments we have made.

  Achieve and maintain maximum customer satisfaction ratings and approval standards.

  Ensure proper staffing levels within each department; set goals for employees, evaluate and review personnel, Motivate personnel in departments under supervision.

  Monitor business, systems and requirements to ensure ERIKS quality standards.

  Oversee employee training requirements to business systems/procedures and products to ensure the training was properly performed and documented.

  Ensure the Branch meets all company/customer/government mandates relative to personnel, safety, security, policies; including emergency planning and execution.

  Manage RMAs related to the warehouse

  Ensure Fleet Compliance: DOT; Comply; hours of service; maintenance of fleet (Donlen); GeoTab- tracker on company vehicles

  Safety scorecard for location-non Sales

  Responsible for Facility Management

  Skills and Abilities

  Requires excellent verbal and written communications skills, professional telephone etiquette, and the ability to handle stressful situations in an efficient, professional and courteous manner.

  Must have a sense of “team” response to satisfy sales goals and assure 100% customer satisfaction and the ability to interact effectively with all types of people.

  Requires computer proficiency, including Internet, e-mail, the operating system, Word, Excel, and various other software as needed.

  Must have mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn about how our products are produced and used by our customers.

  Must also have strong organization skills, be detailed oriented, possess problem-solving capabilities and have excellent customer service skills.

  Key traits needed for success include, good sense of humor, compassion for people, excellent listening skills, ability to discipline and reward and the ability to continually prioritize the workload.

  Requires ability to organize and prioritize workload and be able to interact effectively with all types of people in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

  Business acumen, understanding a P&L, a plus

  Experience/knowledge/understanding of lean six sigma and how to apply it, a plus

  Minimum Qualifications

  Must be 21 years of age or older

  5-7 years of related warehousing or production experience

  2-3 years of management or supervisory experience

  College degree, Business Administration or Industrial Distribution preferred; will consider equivalent degrees

  In lieu of degree will consider minimum 7-10 years management experience in an industrial distribution setting

  Ability to work nights and weekends, as required

  Ability to pull, push, grasp, bend, lift and carry up to 50lbs independently on a repeated basis.

  Ability to consistently move throughout the facility during the full workday

  Ability to comprehend work instruction and safety procedures, written or verbally

  Ability to count and measure accurately

  Ability to properly and safely use mechanical equipment and handtools

  Possess excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact with customers, and team-members in a professional manner

  Strong organizational and communication skills, above average mechanical aptitude, and the ability to interact with a diverse customer base

  Must have valid driver’s license

  Background checks and drug screening may be required (by Company, Customer or DOT requirements in working on-site and operating equipment as required or permitted by law)
