Description We are offering an opportunity for a Bookkeeper to join our team located in San Francisco, California. This role provides an avenue to contribute significantly to our finance department, handling various financial tasks including processing customer applications and maintaining accurate customer records. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain financial accounts including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
• Utilize QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel to record financial transactions and update financial spreadsheets.
• Ensure timely management of accounts payable and receivable and track expenses.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Assist in the provision of necessary financial information for tax filing.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure all financial data adheres to legal regulations.
• Reconcile bank statements and perform internal audits to ensure financial reporting accuracy.
• Develop and implement bookkeeping policies and procedures to streamline the accounting process.
• Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and the ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
• Leverage skills in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, Bookkeeping, Data Entry, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, Payroll, QuickBooks, and Quickbooks Online. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 1 year experience in a bookkeeping role
• Proficiency in account reconciliation and bookkeeping
• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience with bank reconciliations
• Proficient in data entry tasks
• Experience using Microsoft Excel for financial tasks and reporting
• Familiarity with month-end close procedures
• Experience in payroll processing
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Quickbooks Online software
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
