Description

Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join a company located in Santa Barabra, California. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of the company's accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes. The Bookkeeper will ensure accurate financial record-keeping and play a critical role in the company's financial health and compliance. This will be a contract to hire position.

Key Responsibilities:

Process and verify invoices, ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained.

Prepare and execute timely payment of all vendor invoices.

Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.

Maintain organized and up-to-date files of all accounts payable documents.

Generate and send out invoices to customers.

Reconcile accounts receivable ledgers to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts receivable reports.

Process payroll for all employees, ensuring accurate and timely payment.

Maintain payroll records, including timesheets, pay rates, and tax information.

Handle payroll tax reporting and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Address and resolve any payroll-related issues or discrepancies.

Record daily financial transactions and complete the posting process.

Maintain the general ledger and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.

Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.

Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports as needed.

Support the Finance Manager with audits and budgeting processes.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suites

• Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook

• Understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)

• Strong Customer Service skills

• Knowledge of Payroll processing desired
