Description

Cutting Edge Manhattan based organization is currently seeking a Bookkeeper with 1+ year of experience. In this role, you will be responsible for handling, managing and maintaining all our financial records, including sales, receipts, payments, and purchase orders. You will aid our financial decision-making by collecting, analyzing, investigating, and reporting financial data.

Responsibilities:

Update and maintain financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments.

Manage day-to-day transactions, including creating invoices, reports, and financial statements.

Reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts.

Ensure complete and accurate recording of all financial transactions.

Assist in handling and processing payroll.

Prepare accurate quarterly and annual financial reports.

Manage accounts payable and receivable.

Comply with all local, state, and federal laws regarding finances, tax filings, and reporting.

Ensure company's financial and accounting operations are in accordance with law regulations and company's policies.

Requirements

1+ year of bookkeeping experience.

Proficient understanding of QuickBooks or other accounting software.

Advanced knowledge of Excel.

Analytical skills with an emphasis on detail and accuracy.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.

Strong knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.

Strong numeracy and organisational skills.

Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to manage and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.

Experience in preparing financial reports and statements.

Experience in payroll processing is a plus.
