Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a meticulous Bookkeeper in Pico Rivera, California. This role is crucial in maintaining the company's financial records and ensuring accurate financial reporting. You will be handling various financial tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger maintenance, and journal entries.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the accounts payable process, including processing invoices, verifying expenses, and ensuring timely payments to vendors.
• Handle the accounts receivable function, including invoicing customers, tracking payments, and following up on overdue accounts.
• Perform journal entries to accurately record financial transactions, such as payroll, accruals, and adjustments.
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts regularly to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure all transactions are properly classified and recorded.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Generate financial reports and analysis as needed to support management decision-making.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes as directed by management.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve financial discrepancies and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Stay up-to-date on accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Knowledge in Bank Reconciliations
• Previous experience in Bookkeeping
• Data Entry skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
• Knowledge in Payroll processing
• Proficiency in QuickBooks
