Boiler/Chiller Plant Operator (#S3515PO)

The University of Vermont (UVM) is seeking a Boiler/Chiller PlantOperator to join our team. This is a full-time position with greatbenefits and a consistent schedule. Our Central Utility Plant includesfive high pressure steam boilers, and four large tonnage centrifugalchillers located in the center of UVMs vibrant 400-acre campus. Ourutilities team directly supports the academic and research mission ofthe University by providing reliable 24/7 heating and cooling service toall campus buildings.

Plant Operators are responsible for performing highly skilled operation,repair, and maintenance of the Plant and its associated equipment in asafe and efficient manner using their comprehensive understanding ofsystem interdependencies and operations. Operators analyze system dataand monitor and manage Building Automation Control Systems (Honeywelland Johnson) to anticipate system needs, problem-solve, and adjust setpoints.

High School Diploma, vocational building trades training and four yearsof experience in heating and/or cooling plant operations and maintenanceand Building Automation Management Systems experience required. VTNatural Gas Certification: VT Fuel Oil Burning Equipment Installer(Limited) Certification, or ability to obtain within one year required.
