FH Stoltze is hiring a Power Plant Technician Trainee. This position is primarily a heavy equipment operator learning the Power Plant/Boiler System. No experience necessary other than loader operation experience preferred. All skills will be trained on the job.JOB TITLE: Power Plant Technician TraineeJOB QUALIFICATIONS:Must be 18 years of age. Persons with experience in heavy equipment operations such as front end loader experience preferred. Must be willing and able to work rotating day and swing shifts, weekends, holidays and must be willing to work alone and without direct supervision. A 3rd Class Montana Boiler Operator License or equivalent is preferred, but not necessary. Position is on the job training.JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Steam and Power Plant Manager, the Power Plant Technician is responsible for all duties outside of the boiler house while on duty. This includes, but is not limited to: fuel in-feed, water treatment and emissions control, making periodic fire-watch and security rounds throughout the plant site, assisting with unloading and loading of kilns, greasing, oiling, ensuring proper operation of the hog and all conveyors, ash handling and disposal, and cleanup. Works closely with the Power Plant Operator, Power Plant Manager, Kiln Operators, Truck drivers and other plant personnel.
