System One Holidays, LLC, seeks a BIT Engineer in Pittsburgh, PA to Provide primary level technical support for all broadcast areas including: Studio Floor, PCR, ACR, Car Room, Graphics hub, Master Control, Newsroom IPTV, Satellite and RF Systems.; Keep broadcast equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services, following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures; Assess any technical issues reported to determine root cause and take swift action to fix and report them; Support senior and lead Broadcast Engineers on installing and testing repaired and newly acquired equipment; Install, maintain, modify, operate and repair broadcast equipment and systems, including the latest multimedia technology; Ensure that the broadcast center on air ability remains live without interruption or compromise; Troubleshoot, resolve problems, complaints and questions in a timely and efficient manner; Build and execute periodic maintenance plan, downtime requirement for all broadcast, BIT, and IT systems; Create and update systems diagrams according to systems expansion and medication; Minimize loss of service at times of equipment failure by rapidly identifying and implementing alternative methods of service provisions; Participate in the design, construction, equipment selection and implementation of current and future broadcast facility; Provide emergency restoration procedures for broadcast, electrical and mechanical facilities; Provide presentations, training assistance, procedures, and manuals and develop unit documentation and database; Demonstrate an ability to troubleshoot and maintain SMPTE standards and various cods in the baseband and file domains; Actively implement low-level design of complex systems using the latest multimedia technology; and Support FTP and file-based workflow from baseband ingest through multiple format layers and delivery. Utilize the following technologies, databases, and servers: Jenkins, Bamboo, Groovy, Shell, Maven, Gradle, Ant, Splunk, Nagios, Dynatrace, Git, Bitbucket, AWS, Jira, MySQL, Mongo DB, Oracle WebLogic, Apache, Tomcat, and JBoss.

　　Qualified applicants must have a Master’s Degree in Information Systems Management, Information Systems Security, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a foreign equivalent. Qualified applicants must have 2 years of experience as a Broadcast Engineer, Software Engineer, or a Computer Engineer, or a substantially similar position, performing the following duties: 1) Assessing technical issues to determine root cause and taking corrective action to fix and report technical issues; 2) Providing emergency restoration procedures for technical equipment; 3) Providing technical presentations, training assistance, and manuals; 4) Developing unit documentation and databases; 5) Utilizing the following technologies, databases, and servers: Jenkins, Bamboo, Groovy, Shell, Maven, Gradle, Ant, Splunk, Nagios, Dynatrace, Git, Bitbucket, AWS, Jira, MySQL, Mongo DB, Oracle WebLogic, Apache, Tomcat, and JBoss.
