　　JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

　　We are searching for undergraduate students for internship opportunities within the Biodefense Initiative at the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State University. ARL’s purpose is to research and develop innovative solutions to challenging scientific, engineering, and technology problems in support of the Navy, the Department of Defense (DoD), and the Intel Community (IC).

　　You will:

　　Assist with literature searches and reviews for a wide variety of biological topics

　　Draft summary reports from literature reviews

　　Participate in technical meetings

　　Review and provide input to technical reports, white papers, and other project documents

　　Required skills/experience areas include:

　　Undergraduate study of Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Agriculture, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or other related areas

　　Preferred skills/experience areas include:

　　Experience with literature reviews and technical writing

　　Your working location will be hybrid on-site/work from home, or fully on-site, located in State College, PA .

　　This is a paid internship located at ARL’s Main Laboratory at the University Park Campus; relocation and housing are not provided. The successful candidate will work up to 20 hours/week during the fall and spring semesters and 40 hours/week over the summer.
