The Biostatistics and Data Sciences (BDS) Operations Manager is the key contact partner in cultivating operational excellence for BDS Value Creation and consistent & harmonized capabilities across BDS through consultation and development of creative solutions, creation of framework materials to empower all BDS members in their operational topic, and execution of defined service packages which support speed and value in the clinical development life cycle. BDS is a global organization with over 400 employees.
In this role you will have exposure to the following capabilities Quality Management, Learning, Communications and Solutions, Capacity & Supplier Management and Clinical Trial Transparency & Data Sharing. Your primary focus for this position will be Quality Management and Learning, Communications & Solutions.
Duties & Responsibilities
Foster empowerment of teams on low complexity topics by:
Determining need(s) for frameworks which support BDS in speed and value and allow all BDS members to execute topics efficiently, based on operational insights.
Creating frameworks by developing appropriate processes, instructions and tools.
Create customer focused service packages for low and medium complexity topics by:
Determining need(s) for service packages which support BDS in speed and value, based on operational insights.
Creating such service packages including developing appropriate processes, preparing internal and external resources to execute such work packages.
Implement and oversee focused service packages for low complexity topics by:
Establishing service teams.
Providing leadership and guidance to established service teams.
Ensuring adequate communication into BDS and easy access to services for BDS members.
Provide customer-focused service for low and medium complexity service packages by:
Understanding scope and intent of defined service packages and associated service teams.
Executing service packages according to intent and defined processes.
Requirements
Operations Manager
Bachelor’s degree with minimum five (5) years’ experience required. Major/Focus in life sciences, business administrations, or similar preferred.
Initial experience within the pharmaceutical industry or CROs.
Knowledge in and experience with business operations, which may include quality systems, learning and development processes, communications, supplier management and or logistics.
Knowledge/experience in clinical trial research and basic medical terminology.
Ability to work collaboratively on multi-disciplinary project teams and proactively manage relationships with external vendors required.
Mindful of local, global, internal and external cultures to ensure that messages are received positively and effectively.
Operations Specialist
Bachelor degree
Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
Compensation
This position offers a base salary typically between $65,000 and $138,000. The position may be eligible for a role specific variable or performance based bonus and or other compensation elements.
