A Place to Be Proud.ResponsibilitiesPRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAdvises investigators on issues of study design and statistical analysisAuthors statistical analysis plansPerforms complex statistical analyses, including with large national datasetsManages data and statistical analyses for multiple research projectsSupports development of grant applications and research protocolsPerforms sample size/power calculationsManages research databasesPrepares datasets for data analysesPrepares and delivers statistical reports regarding interim and final study analysesContributes to the interpretation and publication of research resultsMentors early career investigators and students about conducting statistical analyses and interpretation and presentation of findings for reports, scientific conferences, manuscripts, and/or grant applicationsPerforms additional duties as assignedQualificationsKNOWLEDGE , SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREDMaster's degree in biostatistics, statistics, public health with biostatistics major, or equivalent degreeAt least 3 years of work experience managing datasets and conducting complex statistical analyses, such as modeling, using sophisticated statistical software packages, and mentoring early career investigators and students about conducting statistical analyses and researchExcellent knowledge of modeling and other advanced statistical techniquesFamiliarity with large injury databases, such as NEISS, NPDS, KID and other HCUP databases preferredExcellent working knowledge of SAS and SPSSExcellent organizational, communication, and self-management skillsAbility to work with minimal instruction or independentlyMINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS100% Kneeling / reaching100% Finger dexterity100% Talking / hearing / seeing33% Lifting / carrying
