Fields customer questions and complaints; when the issue isbeyond the representative\'s knowledge, forwards to the assignedspecialist or manager for assistance. Ensures that appropriate actionsare taken to resolve customers\' problems and concerns. Maintainscustomer accounts and records in the patient account customerinteractions with details of inquiries, complaints, or comments. Reviewspatient credit balances and initiates refund requests for lead andmanager approval. Coordinate with local credit company to overseescollections efforts and ensure that valid information and records arebeing processed. Responsible to assist customers with financial hardshipquestions and applications. Sends statements, processes and enterspatient payments, and assists Accounts Receivable with balancing.Assists the patient with payment arrangements. We\'re Seeking: Highschool diploma or equivalent required. One (1) year of Customer Serviceexperience is preferred. Requires basic computer proficiency includingexperience using Microsoft office, (Word, Excel, Outlook), and a workingknowledge of internet, software, and web-based applications. Ability touse office equipment including copier machine, postage machine, foldingmachine, 10-key, and calculator. Provides excellent customer service tocustomers and visitors by phone, and in person. Ability to read andinterpret documents, regulations, instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to effectively communicate information to customers, insurancecompanies, medical facilities and employees by telephone, in writing andin person. Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as discounts,interest, and percentages. Ability to change from one task to anotherwith ease and flexibility. Demonstrates the ability to workindependently in a constructive and professional manner; ability to beorganized, detail-oriented, problem solve and be a team player.
