General Purpose:
Will provide support to the Safety/Medical & Security departments by working closely with the EHS Manager to develop, implement, train, maintain, ensure compliance, and track all aspects of EHS. This position is also responsible for leading security shifts by example and serving as a supportive resource for fellow team-members. Safety and Security safeguard of all employees, staff, guests to Plainville Farms and property and to provide extraordinary service and unforgettable experiences to all. Will monitor risks; develop creative, real-time solutions to challenges; respond proactively; communicate & coordinate with others, document thoroughly as needed.
Essential Functions:
· Assist to maintain compliance with OSHA, emergency action plan, fire prevention, hazard communication, and personal protective equipment programs.
· Assist in planning, developing, scheduling, and delivering EHS education training programs that ensure compliance with (OSHA) and other government agencies.
· Assist & help develop behavior safety base observation programs and track leading and lagging indicators.
· Help & maintain monthly inspections for policies, programs, equipment and personal protective equipment.
· Gather data needed to identify and recommend solutions to maximize effectiveness of our safety programs.
· Administrative duties including taking safety meeting minutes, JSAs, SOPs & tracking employee training requirements.
· Give feedback to improve the quality of investigations by identifying root causes which will enable training improvements aimed at reducing the risk exposure.
· Prepare and distribute reports for safety programs as needed. Advise the department of trends in injuries and proper safety procedures that may result in reduction of injuries.
· Assist with online training program, including maintaining schedule and assigning Safety training.
· Perform safety observations and survey facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, determine corrective or preventative measures, and to ensure safety compliance.
Identify safety and security risks and concerns, communicates those expeditiously either verbally or in writing, and takes action to remediate any issues either as needed or as directed.· Investigate industrial accidents, near-miss incidents, and occupational injuries to determine root causes, install preventive measures, and manage return-to-work activities. Conducts and documents outcomes of investigations either independently or in coordination with Safety Manager.
· Provide SOP information, signs, posters, barriers, and other materials to warn of potential and actual safety hazards and to prevent access to hazardous conditions.
· Assist Safety Manager in the administration of the workers' compensation program.
Perform the essential functions of a Safety and Security Lead, Security Coordinator and First Responder, as needed.Must be able to cover any shift as needed, generally 830am -- 6pm shift.Support and guide new hires throughout the organization in getting acclimated to and feeling welcome to Plainville.Provide local transportation to employees, staff, materials, and equipment in the Safety and Security Vehicle, as needed.Maintain awareness of where shift keys are always during each shift and ensure staff do not leave with keys at the end-of-shift.Ensure vehicle is being used and serviced appropriately.Identify any protest activity and communicate that to the Safety Manager, as required.Respond to guest, employee / staff injuries when needed and will work/assist medical.Understand and can communicate and enforce operations policies and procedures.Ensure all team members on all shifts are appropriately following essential policies, procedures, protocols, and practices; corrects any deficiencies; and review any concerns to Safet Manager.Work closely with Plainville Farms supervisors/managers through emails and phone calls as necessary to ensure that all required information is collected and reportedSupports Team with special projects, as requested.Performs other duties, as assigned.Behavioral Requirements

Knowledge: high-school diploma or equivalent.Security or safety experience required.Be able to stand and walk in- and outdoors in all weather for extended periods of time year-round.Be able to sit and monitor cameras, alarms, and information systems for long periods of time.Must be able to respond to safety and security emergencies calmly, professionally, and in an organized manner.Must be able to manage multiple, complex tasks simultaneously under pressure.Complete mandatory training programs as needed.Obtain adult first aid, CPR, and AED certification.Participate in additional training opportunities as they become available.Computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Teams, Excel, Power Point).Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Problem solving: Responding to urgent and emergency situations, while following appropriate procedures.Willingness and capability to manage disorderly persons and/or groups.Outstanding human relations: daily interactions with employees, staff, guests, contractors, service providers, public officials, and all manner of people on Plainville Farms property.Accountability: Accountable for the safety and safety & security of the Plainville Farms employees, guests, reputation, assets, and property.· OSHA and NFPA experience a plus.
· Bi-lingual English -- Spanish preferred
· Must have a driving license.

Salary: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
