　　Summary:

　　The BI Engineer position will assist in the responsibility for both the daily operations and the ongoing improvement of the company’s business intelligence and data warehouse environment to help support the strategic goals for optimizing data across the organization. This position should possess both a strong technical background and be able to effectively communicate with the business for turning data into clear and usable business intelligence.

　　Qualifications:

　　Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year College or university preferred

　　Minimum of 8 years of experience in working with multi-site operational and technical teams.

　　Good information technology acumen that is easily translated and communicated to business users.

　　Experience working with Power BI, SQL and other data tools to help support business objectives.

　　General understanding of technology as it relates to servers, network, cloud, data warehouse, reporting and analytical tools.

　　8+ years of experience working within a structured data environment and other information technology applications.

　　Understand firsthand what technical work must be managed to achieve superior customer satisfaction.

　　Comfortable in a matrix management structure and be able to influence from the top and from the sides.

　　Results oriented, strong quantitative skills, moderate to high EQ and very well-organized.

　　Excellent Communication Skills.

　　Essential Duties and Responsibilities

　　Strong understanding with deploying BI solutions using Microsoft Power BI.

　　Experience writing and editing DAX functions within Power BI.

　　Working knowledge of SQL Queries and developing Views in SQL Server.

　　Understanding the ETL process using SSIS for package construction.

　　SSRS experience deploying reports from SQL Server.

　　Work closely with the business to ensure the reporting environment is operational and supporting business needs.

　　Work closely with the internal functional team to support product and reporting requirements.

　　Experience working with Microsoft Master Data Services (MDS) preferred.

　　Understanding of Microsoft Azure environment working with SQL Server, Azure SQL database and Azure SQL Data Warehouse.

　　Working experience with moving data across on-premise to cloud environments.

　　Craft optimal data processing architecture and systems for new data and ETL processes

　　Recommend improvements and modifications to existing data and ETL processes

　　Identify and implement process improvements opportunities.

　　Participate in application release updates with vendors and business users.

　　Ensure compliance with corporate standards.

　　Plan, test, implement, and troubleshoot software upgrades.

　　Support and develop end user training documentation.

　　Develop help desk knowledge base articles.

　　Work directly with IT and Business teams to resolve technical issues.

　　Monitor and recommend software licensing changes to control costs.

　　Monitoring of and responding to application support tickets.

　　Other duties as assigned.

　　Experience with statistical analysis and programming languages e.g. Python and mainstream machine learning frameworks is a plus
