Job Role: BI Developer (SQL+Python+AWS)

　　Profile Summary

　　We are looking for a Business Intelligence professionals tasked with creating analytic solutions to better arm our business partners with the right information at the right time. The BI Developer will partner with the BI team to automate manual processes and improve our overall data pipelines to improve accuracy, reduce manual processing and create larger more re-usable datasets.

　　Responsibilities

　　Automate manual processes – developing and implementing automation solutions to replace manual processes improving efficiency and accuracy.

　　Rebuilding and Consolidating Datasets – Redesigning datasets to ensure optimal performance and accuracy and consolidating sources for improved re-usability.

　　Data Platform expertise – designing ETL process to translate business rules in structured curated datasets. Leveraging platforms like SQL, Redshift and Athena to effectively manage data.

　　Collaboration – working closely with the BI and Datawarehouse teams to ensure solutions are leveraging appropriate sources and meet business needs.

　　Design and oversee the ETL workflow processes, transitioning base-layer data into curated datasets leveraging, SQL, Python Athena and Redshift among other platforms.

　　Formulate and build automated testing strategies to ensure the datasets produced serve as reliable sources of truth and incorporate appropriate controls.

　　Technical Skills

　　5+ years working with SQL, Python and other programming languages.

　　3+ years of building analytical solutions leveraging SQL and Python programming.

　　Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

　　Experience testing datasets for accuracy, implementing automated controls.

　　Proficiency in AWS infrastructure (Redshift/Athena) or similar platforms (Google, Snowflake etc).

　　Proficiency tuning ETL processes and warehouse databases.

　　Experience in Insurance specifically Property & Casualty data systems.

　　Bachelor's degree in computer science, Applied Math, Economics, Statistics or a related discipline is preferred but not required.
