Responsibilities
The Benefits Specialist will provide administrative and client service support on a variety of Benefits Administration initiatives, such as:
Directly supporting weekly employee benefits enrollment, termination and change processing activity for assigned clientsServicing escalated employee and direct HR telephone and email benefits inquiriesProviding annual open enrollment support to assigned clients and the Benefits Team in general, including periodic onsite representation at client meetings and benefit fairsInterfacing with clients, insurers and other third parties to resolve employee benefit issuesManaging the completion of scheduled client deliverables on a consistent and timely basisMaintaining current, working knowledge of all assigned client benefits eligibility rulesParticipating in periodic client servicing reviews at designated client location or via web/teleconferenceQualifications
A Bachelor's Degree; experience may be considered in lieu of degreeThe ideal candidate will also have 3-5 years' experience in the Benefits Administration, Insurance, Customer Service, and/or Human Resource-related fieldsThis position also requires proficiency with MS Office, specifically Excel, Outlook, and WordExcellent customer service skills are also necessary, as the position will interface with external client contacts and their employeesExceptional organizational and communications abilities are critical to the incumbent's success, as s/he will be expected to manage multiple priorities and work with a moderate amount of supervisionA valid driver's license is required for minimal travel using a personal vehicleAdditional Information
