RF Bench Technician / Programmer

There’s not a typical day for an MCA Bench Technician. Some days you….
Make It Happen : Create, program, and maintain complex radio files to keep customers up and running.
Save The Day : Be a hero to those who make it happen by programming radio equipment for the wide variety of customers we serve.
Rainmaker: Design and create radio solutions using the latest technologies.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Assists and collaborates well with team, Manager, and customer.
Team-focused with a passion to meet customer needs.
Engrave radio casings and housings as directed.
A resourceful technician, who sometimes will need assistance/guidance from others.
Demonstrates a willingness to learn and be mentored on a new technologies in communications and equipment.
Strong communications skills end user and third parties
Completes assigned tickets properly and on-time
Make minor modifications to electronic circuitry per customer requests and/or deploy factory software/firmware updates
Assist with shipping and receiving radios and radio accessories
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM:
At least two (2) years of experience in diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing mobile communications equipment.
Understanding of / willingness to learn two-way radio theory
Strong communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite such as word and Excel
Ability to perform physical tasks like walking, standing, driving, lifting up to 50lbs.
Exceptional candidates have:
A two-year degree in Electronics, IT, or applicable subject.
Proficient with Motorola equipment – installing, programming, and troubleshooting.
P25 and/or MotoTRBO experience.
BDA / DAS installation experience.
CET certification.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The physical environment requires the employee to work inside.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear, utilize personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to potentially hazardous materials, lift (overhead, waist level) from floor, bending, frequently utilize near vision use for reading and computer use. Frequently move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and frequently position self to maintain computers or other equipment as needed.
Travel Requirements:
Travel as necessary to support company and customer needs.
