The Purpose of Your Role
The Behavioral Health Technician I focuses on learning, creating a positive culture, and productively engaging with the team. They support and ensure clients function safely, effectively, and efficiently while promoting the best quality and output standards. The Behavioral Health Technician I collaborates with their team and Behavioral Health Technician Supervisor to ensure the maintenance of treatment fidelity, company policy and procedures, and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Actively engages clients through clinical interactions, including assisting clients with developing skills and clinical interventionsProvides high standards of helpful, professional, and caring treatment to all clients by maintaining consistently effective client interactionsProvides validation in a warm, safe environment and keeps clients motivated to work through distress and eliminate neutralizing behaviorsFacilitate groups within the IOP and helps maintain a professional environment for clients, including collecting homework, clinical documentation and providing feedback to primary therapistsMonitors the client's daily activities, including implementing the treatment planEffectively manages business resources to maximize benefits for our clients, employees, and the organizationPlans, organizes, and implements lesson plans for group settingsMaintains all written documentation such as progress notes, group therapy notes, etc.Masters de-escalation techniques and crisis managementEncourages team engagement and loyalty by effective employee interactions that promote cooperation, trust, and respectExpands knowledge and skills through supervision and oversight provided by appropriate licensed clinical staffMaintains client satisfactionAdheres to all company policies and proceduresPresents self in a professional mannerMaintains a safe and clean environmentOther duties as assignedThe Skills and Expertise You Have:
Some college or experience in a related fieldAbility to think criticallyWillingness to work as a team to meet the needs of the businessProficient knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and other computer softwareAccurate and efficient electronic data entryMust be punctual and maintain excellent attendanceOrganized, detail-oriented, takes initiative, and completes job responsibilities independentlyMultitask, problem-solve, interpersonal skills, and strong written and verbal communication skillsThrives in a changing work environment including inside, outside, and loud noise levelPhysical demands of the job will include sitting at a desk or table for extended periods, bending, lifting, and walkingPreferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related fieldOCD and anxiety experience
