POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Consultant to join the Refugee Health Assessment (RHA) program at CCI Health Services. The Behavioral Health Specialist will play a pivotal role in addressing the mental health and psychological needs of refugees, asylees, and special visa holders within the program, providing culturally sensitive behavioral health interventions.
KEY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct behavioral health assessments for individuals that are referred to Behavioral Health services after a positive screen.
Must be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW or LCSW-C), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC), or Licensed Psychologist.
Minimum 2 years providing therapy to children, teens, and adults with mental health needs.
Have experience in utilizing evidence-based interventions such as CBT, MI, trauma-informed care, and/or Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.
Excellent team-based communication skills with the primary care team, supervisors, and other CCI staff.
Ability to define problems, collect and interpret data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and process work to completion.
Bi-lingual (Spanish, Amharic, Pashto) in reading, writing, and speaking, highly-desired.
Experience in the use of interpreter services.
Ability to develop therapeutic rapport and engage patients in treatment using clinical skills including motivational interviewing in a culturally based manner.
Ability to provide crisis intervention services to patients, and ability to be flexible, use new ideas and operate in a fast-paced health environment.
Prior experience collaborating with physicians and other health care providers, social service agencies, and/or education systems desired.
Enthusiasm for innovation, data-driven decisions, and clinical and financial outcomes.
