You will implement evidence-based interventions based on the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to help students achieve their academic, social, and emotional goals. You will also collect and record data on student progress, communicate with teachers, and participate in ongoing training and professional development.ResponsibilitiesProvide direct instruction and support to students with autism and/or behavioral health needs in various settings, such as classrooms, playgrounds, cafeterias, etc.Follow the individualized education plan (IEP) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) developed by the school.Use positive reinforcement and other ABA techniques to teach students new skills and reduce challenging behaviors.Collect and record data on student performance, behavior, and response to interventionReport any changes or concerns to the teacher and the behavior specialistCollaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff members to ensure consistency and continuity of careMaintain confidentiality and professionalism at all timesQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED, plus a minimum of six months prior work/volunteer experience providing individual instructions, preferably in a health care environment.Demonstrates effective and professional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsAble to work independently and part of a teamDemonstrates strong organization skills and attention to detailHas reliable transportation and is able to travel to/from multiple assignments/locations on a daily basisAbout our Line of BusinessSpringHealth Behavioral Health and Integrated Care offers a holistic approach and integrates care for people with cognitive, developmental or intellectual disabilities who often need additional resources.
