About Behavior Technician (Denver Near Central Park) - Bilingual (

  Soar Autism Center is building a network of interdisciplinary clinics wherechildren with autism and their families receive life-shaping services thatsupport them to thrive. We prioritize early intervention, comprehensivesupportive services, and positive, developmentally-appropriate learningthat meets the needs of each unique child and family. Specifically, we focuson integrated autism care and a play-based model of applied behavior analysis(ABA) a therapy based on the principles of the Early Start Denver Model.

  A Behavior Technician (BT), also known as a Registered BehaviorTechnician, RBT, or ABA Therapist, works 1:1 with young children onthe autism spectrum to support skill development, under the supervision of aBoard Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and in partnership with our speechand occupational therapy teams.   You do not need to be certified for this position, Soar provides alltraining for our Behavior Technicians!What You'll DoProvide 1:1 direct intervention for children 2-6 years old in a center-basedsetting based on developmentally appropriate, naturalistic ABA therapyFollow the intervention plans developed by clinicians in the fields ofBehavior Analysts, Speech, and Occupational TherapyCollaborate with each client's team of Behavior Analysts, SLPs, and OTsto provide high quality support for your clientsWork closely with the RBT team to provide continuity of care between providersActively engage in ongoing training and professional development opportunitiesBuild relationships and connect with mentors in a wide variety of fieldsBuild meaningful and professional relationships with families; communicateand share progress with them on a regular basisReceive ongoing feedback, coaching and professional development from yourBCBA to improve and grow your practice and skillsWhat You HaveMinimum requirement: enrollment in degree programs related to ChildDevelopment, Psychology, Education, Speech & Language Pathology,Occupational Therapy, or a related fieldPreferred candidates have a bachelor's degree in Child Development,Psychology, Education, Speech & Language Pathology, OccupationalTherapy, or a related fieldVerbal and written communication with a minimum of general professionalproficiency in both English and SpanishPrevious experience with children between the ages of 2-6, preferably in aprofessional settingPrevious experience, preferably with the neurodiverse population (e.g.autism, ADHD)Embody a playful spirit and the ability to connect and engage with youngchildrenA desire to be part of a team who works toward a shared mission and visionClear professional communication, both verbally and in writingFluency navigating devices such as computers and tabletsHave reliable transportation and ability to arrive at the clinic site on-timedailyMeet the following physical requirements: sit and stand frequently and shiftpositions quickly, lift up to 50 lbs., sit/kneel on the floor, sit ina chair, stand, walk, and occasionally run short distances to catch upwith a clientWhat's In It For YouQuality health insurance: medical, dental and vision plansA company 401k after 1 year of employmentPaid time off: 10 company holidays for full-time employees + 15 paid timeoff days for vacation or sick time (following 3-6 months of tenure)Unlimited unpaid, planned time offA "Time for You" program to take extra time off work when you need itShort term disabilityDaytime weekday hours (shifts occur Monday-Friday between 8am-6pm)Soar Frontiers Program: Opportunities for career exploration in BehaviorAnalysis, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, and other roles30 hours per week guaranteed for full-time employees. You'll practice the most evidence-basedform of ABA for young children, the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM)On-site rapid Covid testing for all employees.
