Devils Thumb Ranch Operating Co. Inc is seeking ten (10) Banquet Serversto work with them at 3530 County Rd 83, Tabernash, Colorado 80478. Theposition will be full-time and seasonal during the dates of April 1, 2024- December 31, 2024.
The role of the Banquet Server is to take orders from patrons for food orbeverages, set up, execute, and break down event spaces according toexpectations. Prepare tables for meals, including setting up items such aslinens, silverware, and glassware. Check with customers to ensure thatthey are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems. Checkpatrons' identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirementsfor consumption of alcoholic beverages. Collect payments from customers. Writepatrons' food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter ordersinto computers for transmittal to kitchen staff. Prepare checks that itemizeand total meal costs and sales taxes. Present menus to patrons and answerquestions about menu items, making recommendations upon request. Removedishes and glasses from tables or counters and take them to kitchen forcleaning. Clean glassware with dish machine. Polish silverware, plates,and glassware as required. Serve food or beverages to patrons and prepare orserve specialty dishes and drinks at tables as required. Clean tables orcounters after patrons have finished dining. Perform cleaning duties, suchas sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpet, tidying up serverstation, taking out trash, cleaning windows, or checking and cleaningbathroom.
Employees will work Mon-Sun an average of 35 hours/wk. Must be able to workany 7-hour within the time frames of 6am to 12am any day of the week. Days offrotate, shifts vary, weekends and holidays are required. This jobrequires continuous movement, regularly bending, lifting, pushing,must be flexible, be able to communicate in English and be a team player.Six months of work experience and six months of training is required.On-the-job training is provided. Devils Thumb Ranch Operating Co. Inc willprovide workers with all tools, supplies, and equipment required toperform the job at no charge. Transportation is provided at no charge.
This posting is being made in connection with an application for H-2B workers.The wage is $19.76 per hour. All deductions will be made from paychecks thatare required by law. No other deductions will be taken unless voluntarilyagreed to by the employee. Overtime is available at a rate of $29.64 perhour. Wages will be paid bi-weekly on Friday, and the employer will use asingle workweek as its standard for computing wages due. The employer willreimburse the H-2B worker in the first workweek for all visa, visaprocessing, border crossing, and other related fees, including thosemandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker. If the workercompletes 50% of the work contract period, employer will reimburse theworker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to theplace of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker isdismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonablecosts of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place theworker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not returndue to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount oftransportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economicaland reasonable common carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistencewill be provided at a rate of $15.46 per day during travel to a maximum of$59.
Housing is available at the rate of $150 per week but this is optional. Theamount will be deducted from the employee's paycheck if agreed upon. This isnot a condition of employment. In the alternative, the employer will assistthe worker to find suitable housing that is available within walking distanceof the orksite.
