　　Job Description

　　Omni Tempe Hotel at ASUis seeking aBanquet Cookto join team at our brand-new upscale hotel. Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU will provide Tempe with 330 guest rooms and 36,000 square feet of event space and four new food and beverage outlets. Featuring a rooftop upscale restaurant and the largest ballroom in the area, we expect to provide elevated options for our guests for dining and entertainment.

　　Responsibilities

　　Works alongside the Banquet Executive Chef to assist with coordination of all banquets hot and cold foods.

　　Works three days ahead of event to ensure product delivery is on time.

　　Must have a good working relation with the Banquet Team and should be in direct communication constantly to ensure counts, vessels and items are proper.

　　Communicate with the Stewarding department on all banquet equipment needed to perform a banquet.

　　Conducts daily and weekly standup meetings

　　Assist the Executive Chef with the development of menus.

　　Oversees proper care of and cleanliness of kitchen.

　　Qualifications

　　Culinary experience in a hotel or resort banquet team.

　　Completion of culinary degree or certificate program is preferred.

　　Candidate must be creative and up to speed on new concepts and food trends.

　　Must provide copy of Food Handlers card.

　　Must be familiar with batch and quantity cooking.

　　Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.

　　Ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 50 pounds.

　　Flexibility scheduling to include nights, weekends, and holidays.

　　*This position is a full-time, on-site position with no work from home flexibility.

　　Salary is $22 / Hr.
