Description
Robert Half is looking for a Bankruptcy Specialist for a role in New Brighton. This role demands proficiency in coordinating various functions related to Bankruptcy and loss mitigation: loan modifications, repayment plans, forbearances, property inspections, bankruptcy proceedings, etc., as well as other reporting and compliance criteria.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
Review proceedings, records, and timelines, updating activities throughout the foreclosure process in the system.
Record and explain communications between borrowers and attorneys, providing comprehensive explanations for delays.
Liaise with attorneys and/or vendors to update files in legal processes.
Thoroughly document account actions, correspondence, and process delays in the servicing system, ensuring compliance with state and investor requirements, including maintaining investor metrics and protocols for all foreclosure sales.
Review and implement loan modification terms, forbearances, repayment terms, short sales, and deed in lieu's according to investor, client, and insurer guidelines.
Submit loss mitigation requests for approval to investor/client/MI, as required.
Monitor the status of repayment plans, forbearance plans, and trial period plans, updating the servicing system and investor system of record with payment records as needed.
Prepare and dispatch trial period documents, forbearance plan documents, repayment plan agreements, short sale approvals and closing letters, and decline letters as needed.
Communicate with borrowers and real estate agents to provide updates on the status of loss mitigation files.
Collaborate with the Bankruptcy vendor on mortgages involved in bankruptcy, ensuring compliance with all steps.
Monitor and oversee the bankruptcy vendor’s administration of the bankruptcy plan.
Conduct a weekly portfolio scrub for the bankruptcy vendor.
Collaborate with the bankruptcy vendor to meet deadlines.
Provide assistance with other duties as necessary
