  Position Description

  CGI has an immediate need for an AWS DevOps Engineer to join our financial services team with preferred locations of Reston, VA, Plano, TX, or Columbia SC. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest leaders in the secondary mortgage industry. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies. This position can be located remotely anywhere in the U.S. where CGI has an office.

  Your future duties and responsibilities

  Your future duties and responsibilities

  This person should be very good with DevOps practices and methodologies and integrating apps with enterprise tools. Looking for strong DevOps engineers with prior Python development background and proven track record working on some transformational initiatives. DevOps engineers are expected to enforce quality gates and influence development squads. Candidate should have sound knowledge on vulnerability checks, and creating pipeline as code with GitLab, JSON/YAML.

  Required qualifications to be successful in this role

  • 8+ years of experience in Development/ Automation

  • 5+ years' experience on DevOps

  • 3+ years' experience on AWS Python developement

  • Hands-on DevOps experience in building application CI/CD pipeline using GitLab

  • Should be hands on DevOps tools

  • AWS hands-on experience is a must to have

  • Experience in writing Python Scripts for executing commands on GitLab

  • Experience with full SDLC lifecycle, taking from Dev to Release

  • Excellent communication, and documentation skills

  • Professional demeanor

  • Leadership skills

  Educational Requirements

  Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems or related field

  CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $75,600.00 - $186,000.00.

  CGI anticipates accepting applications for this position through February 6, 2024.
