Description

We are searching for an AWS Cloud Engineer to join our team located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The AWS Cloud Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing AWS infrastructure, managing AWS security protocols, and ensuring compliance with federal and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Architect, deploy, and maintain scalable AWS environments using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)

• Configure and manage AWS security groups, IAM roles/policies, and enforce best practices in cloud security

• Implement and monitor controls for NIST 800-171 and other relevant security frameworks compliance

• Develop automation scripts using Terraform, Python to enhance cloud operations, improve security monitoring, and optimize deployment pipelines

• Use AWS monitoring tools (CloudWatch, AWS Config, etc.) to track performance, cost, and compliance issues and propose changes to improve efficiency and reduce costs

• Administer AWS account billing structures, ensuring accurate allocation of costs to appropriate accounts, projects, or departments and monitor billing reports

• Collaborate with DevOps, development teams, and security teams to design secure and scalable cloud-based solutions and guide teams on best practices in AWS security and governance

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of detail oriented experience in a related field

• Proficient in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and cloud management

• Experience with Terraform is essential

• Familiarity with AWS Security Hub is required

• Knowledge of NIST standards is expected

• Must be adept in at least one scripting language

• Experience in DevOps is a must.

Must be located in New Mexico or willing to relocate to New Mexico.
