Amentum is seeking an experienced and versatile Joint Fires Space Planner to provide research, analysis, and rapid plans support to address new and emerging situations and threats across the Indo-Pacific in support of U.S Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) at Camp H.M. Smith, HI.

USINDOPACOM conducts planning in support of the Theater Campaign Plan (TCP) to shape the environment in the INDOPACOM Area of Operations (AOR); Concept Plans (CONPLANs) and Operational Plans (OPLANS) to counter known threats; and crisis-action planning to respond to contingencies and crisis in theater with little to no notice. Success depends on the USINDOPACOM J3’s ability to understand the complex dynamics of the theater as a whole and the nuanced details of each sub-region.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide assistance to senior-level strategic planning and briefings, including preparing formal papers and background information for USINDOPACOM senior leader consumption.
Provide research and analysis of various space related national security policies, military strategies, and capability integration that support USINDOPACOM operations and exercises.
Identify operational areas of convergence with Space Command and enable coordination across multiple stakeholders.
The ever-increasing demands associated with a congested and contested space environment requires strategic and operational partners who are properly postured to meet mission critical requirements. This position will support innovative approaches to integrate capabilities as well as close coordination with Service Components, research labs, industry, OSD, and Joint Staff.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree
At least 2 years’ experience as a Joint or Service Space Planner
At least 10 years of combined experience supporting the Department of Defense (DoD)
Experience in writing reports, graphics and information papers
Experience analyzing operational data
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products and SharePoint collaborative tools
Must have an Active Top-Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Graduate of at least one of the following: Concepts of Orbital Warfare Course; Fundamental Application of Space Targeting; Joint Space Targeting Course
Master's Degree and/or attendance at Service Command and General Staff College
3 years' experience in the Indo-Pacific Area of Operations (AOR)
Familiarity with INDOPACOM Theater Campaign Plan (TCP), Deliberate and Crisis Action Plans, and Operations Plans (OPLANS)
Experience coordinating with other Department of Defense (DoD) entities, including the Joint Staff, the Office of the Secretary of Defense and INDOPACOM's Service Components as well as non-DoD organizations
TS/SCI clearance
The salary range for this position is $155K to $175K (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
