About the Role
The E&S Excess Casualty Division of Everest Global is looking for an AVPSenior Underwriter. This role will be responsible for new businesswholesale production underwriting of middle to large market sized E&SCasualty business for Excess Liability line of business.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Utilize underwriting tools and resources to evaluate risks on newbusiness prospects, makes decisions to quote or decline to quote,and develop premiums in accordance with underwriting guidelines andauthority limits.Provide detailed quotes including all terms and conditions inaccordance with compliance dept. requirementsMaintain detailed underwriting files, worksheets and documentationsupporting the underwriting decision and pricing though process.Processes bound accounts following established proceduresServices their existing book of business to ensure timely responsesto broker endorsement requests and other services issues.Manages new business to balance profitability and growth.Develops and maintains relationships with brokers to supportproduction and marketing goalsUnderstand market and industry trends, loss development, and properrisk classificationAssist management with training, mentoring and development of otherunderwriters on the team Underwrite select renewal accounts torenewal retention to department standardsAdhering to underwriting guidelines and referral processes.Qualifications, Education & Experience:
Bachelor\'s degree and (insurance certifications are a bonus)A minimum of 10+ years of experience as a Casualty Underwriter,Excess Liability-focused, with a skill in the Construction andProducts Liability segment; expertise is a plus.Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
Demonstrated ability to generate profitable new businessStrong relationship management skillsExcellent analytical, communication, and computer skillsAbility to successfully complete multiple tasks concurrently withina fast-paced, team-o iented, working environmentCustomer-oriented approach.For CA only: The base salary range for this position is \$160,000 -\$195,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based onindividual education, experience, qualifications and work location.
