  Role Summary/Purpose:

  Reporting to the VP, Surveillance Program Office, this role is responsible for supporting Surveillance testing accountability, execution of monitoring activities for the enterprise-wide Surveillance Program, and conducting testing of Compliance and Operational Risk requirements across multiple functions within the 1 st line of defense. This position will require interaction with key stakeholders across the organization, domain experience in risk management and testing, and the ability to independently assess control design and effectiveness to identify enhancements needed to sufficiently mitigate risks. This role must be able to think critically and provide effective challenge to stakeholders related to their processes, risks, and controls.

  Essential Responsibilities:

  Design and execute risk-based Surveillance testing, for detective monitoring of various processes across the organization

  Identify process defects and gaps, including the identification of issues and reporting of Surveillance results to process owners and key stakeholders

  Conduct ongoing monitoring routines and assurance activities in support of the Surveillance Program, the Enterprise Surveillance Policy, and the Surveillance Standards

  Manage the tracking and reporting of key performance metrics, risk indicators, and aggregated reporting to measure effectiveness of the Program and identify trends

  Support the identification and implementation of enhancements, maintenance, and administration for the Work Management System (WMS), including the creation and facilitation of training materials and user guides

  Support the identification and implementation of solutions for enhancements to centralized tools, reporting, and technology to increase efficiency and effectiveness of Surveillance

  Provide support to Surveillance teams through the management of shared document repositories, meeting artifacts, and communication tools

  Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

  Qualifications/Requirements:

  Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years of audit, testing, or Surveillance experience, to include the scoping and design of test activity; Or, in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, a high school diploma/GED and 7 years of audit, testing, or Surveillance experience of relevant subject matter expertise in risk management, governance, or compliance

  Demonstrated experience with identification of control design enhancements

  Demonstrated experience working with compliance regulatory requirements and/or operational risks

  Experience with cross-functional collaboration and partnership across all lines of defense

  Strong working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint

  Desired Characteristics:

  Experience in the Financial Services industry

  Experience using GRC tools and tools for data visualization and reporting, such as Tableau

  Knowledge of Compliance requirements, Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) program, and Operational Risk framework

  Demonstrated experience in using the WMS application for Surveillance testing

  Experience executing testing activity by leveraging data analytics, automation and/or reporting

  Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and goal oriented, with a consistent execution of key deliverables

  Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with various levels of stakeholders

  Grade/Level: 11

  The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

  Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

  Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

  Eligibility Requirements:

  You must be 18 years or older

  You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
