The AV Field Engineer is responsible for overseeing and performing the AVsystems integration packages, field installation, and commissioning of AVsystems Integration projects. The Field Engineer will report to the ProjectManager on each of their assigned projects and have direct control over alltechnical project activities in close association with the Project Manager.The Field Engineer will coordinate installations with the lead InstallationTechnician assigned to the project and the Project Manager. The Field Engineeris responsible for implementing all the projects assigned to them. Dailyactivities include project communications, scheduling, task lists fortechnicians, managing deliverables from engineering, CAD and Programmingsupervision and overseeing the completion of projects. The employee in thisposition is responsible for completing systems integration projects on time,on budget and achieving high customer satisfaction from our customers. Themajority of the employee's time will be spent on field engineering andsupporting projects and communicating with the Project Manager andTechnicians. This person will maintain deep knowledge of all assigned projectsand communicate daily with the Project Manager to effectively manage technicalresources. They will focus on creating efficiencies in the workflow process tohelp E2 Optics with growth and profitability. Follow safe work practices and companyand client worksite policies.Promote company Core Values to foster and safeguard family-centric culture.Direct the team of technical people that are associated with the project.Direct and coordinate others as required on the job site.Designs, plans, and coordinates work teams with regard to systemsinstallation projectsAssumes ownership of individual projects and assignments.Establishes and maintains communication with Project Managers, installationtechnicians, subcontractors, clients, etc. as required.Facilitate regular project recapping and budget review meetings for allprojects that you estimated or engineered.Provide AV, sound, conferencing, network, system design services forE2 Optics and its customersAssist with design control system functionality and programming function listsfor control systemsMakes engineering computations, writes specificationsGenerates equipment lists and wire labelsVerifies completed sketches and confirms dimensions and materials needed forthe installation projectPerform system testing, verifications, and commissioning of all installedsystemsDevelops and communicates project updates weekly or as required.Provides constant monitoring of labor, equipment and materials budgets.Provides technical and administrative support to project team members.Develops and maintains installation schedules.Performs field verification of prospective work site. Do uments all issueswith site and keeps everyone informed of potential issues and solutions.Coordinates all drawings and documentation between the office and the field.Facilitate and direct design reviews to assure proper documentation in thefield.Coordinates all system programming and final checkout of systems.
