Cognizant is a single trusted partner for Life Sciences governance across all IT, OT systems, from conception to completion.Role:Cognizant seeks to hire Automation Engineer to join our Life Science Manufacturing Practice to work with clients to understand their business objectives and translate them into technical requirements, suggest/evaluate system architecture options and produce/review specification.Location: Lansdale, PARoles and responsibilities:* Design, program, and configure DeltaV systems, PLCs, SCADA and related software.* Provide technical support to customers, engineers, and other stakeholders.* Develop technical documents, including design specification, user manuals, and operational procedures.* Develop and implement automation strategies for industrial process control systems.* Troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade existing control systems.* Participate in project management and project coordination.* Monitor and analyze system performance.* Ensure regulatory compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards.* Utilize best practices, standards and procedures related to automation systems.* Maintain and update knowledge of evolving automation technologies.* Work in a shift rotation that operates in 24x7x365Required Qualifications:Education:* Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Chemical, Electrical, Computer Science or Bio-Process Engineering, or related field
