Resumes or letters of interest can also be submitted via email to [email protected] SUMMARY The Detailer is responsible for preparing vehicles for the repair process by pre-washing vehicles, Blue Printing/Mapping damages, detailing and performing final washing prior to delivering the customer vehicle. They will also Pre scan and post scan vehicles for ADAS systems to be diagnosed and recalibrated. Additional duties include keeping the shop clean and assisting body techs, parts department and painter when needed and other duties as assigned. DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:•Performs pre-wash and pre-scan on vehicles after checked in prior to repair. •Map or Blue Print Vehicle damages and non-accident damages, Taking pictures for file, preparing vehicle for Repair Tech.•Details and cleans vehicles after repairs. •Vacuum and clean the interior of each vehicle, including all windows.•Complete post scans and final vehicle inspection for each vehicle including window operations, lights and preparing vehicle for Dealer calibrations if needed.•Visually inspect every vehicle for flaws in the repaired area(s) and report any issues to Estimator or shop manager.•May help buff out light scratches; install trim and cosmetic parts, etc. prep vehicles for paint as needed. •May Help out in Parts Department on inspection of new parts, card board recycling.•Ports customer vehicles as needed for technicians, estimator or to dealer for dealer calibrations, sublet repairs. •Helps with general maintenance of the facility, e.g., cleanliness, organization, etc.EXPERIENCE / SKILL REQUIREMENTS:•Prior knowledge in a collision repair, or automotive experience strongly preferred, but not required. •Strong attention to detail•Team player•Ability to receive direction and work well with others•Ability to work independently without close supervision•Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: •Ability to stoop, bend and kneel, squat, kneel and pulling •Extended periods of kneeling, bending, squatting and stooping•Carry and lift heavy objects (up to 50lbs) •Standing, sitting and walking •Performing repetitive motions•Exposure to Dirt / Dust, Chemicals, Varying heat / cold, Intermittent noise
