Marcum LLP is seeking Assurance Seniors to join our growing investment and financial services practice in the Mid-Atlantic region. This position requires investment company experience (private equity, real estate, and hedge funds) or financial services experience, and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:
Plan, execute and complete audit engagements for clients in the investment and financial services industriesSupervise and train audit associatesBuild relationships with the engagement team and client, working collaborativelyResearch accounting and auditing matters, and prepare relevant conclusionsDemonstrate knowledge of accounting principles and auditing standards and techniques to complete assignments in a timely mannerPrepare clear and complete working papers in accordance with policies and best practicesResponsive on a timely basis to client questions and requestsKeep current on professional pronouncementsMaintain required annual CPEs
Qualifications:* BS or MS in Accounting* Eligible to sit for the CPA Exam or has obtained CPA license* 2-5 years of relevant audit experience in public accounting* Knowledge of accounting principles and auditing standards to effectively supervise staff and solve engagement matters
