System One has partnered with a growing company in Union, New Jersey in their search for an Audit Manager. This role requires excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of the audit process.
Responsibilities:
Manage the execution of external audits for various clients.
Oversee management of the budget resourcing strategy and billing and collections.
Make Partners aware of any significant audit findings and assist in review.
Maintain working knowledge of accounting literature, trends, and technical issues relevant to clients' industries.
Build and manage client relationships and accounts; maintaining steady contact with clients throughout the year.
Coordinate various phases of an engagement including staff requirements, job planning, and scheduling.
Set the culture for the engagement team and mentor staff.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum of five years of recent supervisory audit experience in a public accounting firm.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and active CPA licensure required.
Applied working knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB auditing standards required.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs and have experience working in Quickbooks and auditing software including CaseWare Working Papers.
Must possess strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
