Audio/Visual Technician Part Time
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage and maintain all audio, lighting, and video equipment
Update and maintain all technical drawings related to all audio and video equipment and signal paths
Troubleshoot and repairing equipment and provide technical support for events as needed
Keep accurate inventory of tools, A/V testing devices, and related equipment
Perform maintenance and preventive maintenance projects
Manage all communications connectivity throughout the building
Coordinate all video and audio routing throughout the facility
Install, operate, maintain, and remove all equipment necessary for event production: audio consoles/systems, microphones, lighting boards/fixtures, cameras, Daktronics V7000 graphics system, and video switchers
Event setup, changeover, and load-out/in
Additional duties to be assigned depending on department needs
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with ASM Global’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, directing work, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED
Current driver’s license required
A minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in a technical support role in the event industry to include concerts, athletic events, expos, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
A minimum 2 to 4 years’ experience in Audio/Video systems, including hardware and software, lighting systems controls, and troubleshooting skills.
Operate a personal computer using Windows, Office, and other standard office equipment
Prior experience with video/matrix boards, at a fast-paced arena or like venue is preferred, but not required, Daktronics experience preferred
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed
Demonstrate knowledge in the practice and procedures related to all areas of custodial, event set up, tear down and changeovers
Ability to work independently, exercising judgement and initiative
Works effectively under pressure or stringent schedule producing accurate results
Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons, tenants, and others encountered in the course of employment
Must be able to troubleshoot, analyze, and prioritize technical information to make informed recommendations
Ability to troubleshoot basic software/hardware problems
Demonstrate proper knowledge and use of all procedures, techniques, machines, materials, equipment, and tools used in technical construction and maintenance
Demonstrate proper knowledge and techniques in the use of lighting, sound, audiovisual, and rigging equipment used by SNHU Arena
Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic
Must understand structured organizational techniques and excellent time management skills to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Experience in operating a forklift is preferred
