AUDIOVISUAL PRODUCTION SPECIALIST (SS):
Ukpeaġvik Inupiat Corporation and Bowhead seeks an Audiovisual Production Specialist to join our growing Corporate Communications team. The Audiovisual Production Specialist must be a skilled storyteller experienced in video production, multimedia production, webcasting/live events, podcasting, and photography. Our Corporate Communications team has a growing need to visually convey information and stories about our corporate culture, Alaska native connection, capabilities we provide, success stories, leadership updates, employee spotlights, and more. Audiovisual products will be used internally and externally for integrated marketing and communications purposes, and shared across a variety of communications and social platforms including company websites, Vimeo, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc. These audiovisual products will support the UIC Family of Companies, including UIC, its Government Services division, and its Bowhead subsidiaries. The Audiovisual Production Specialist must be talented and engaged, a self-starter, able to work independently and collaboratively, and own the production process of assigned projects from concept to completion. This is a REMOTE role with 25% travel.Experience in the defense/federal contracting industry, and familiarity with Alaska Native Corporations is highly desired. The ideal candidate will reside in Anchorage, Alaska, or the greater Virginia/Washington D.C. area, though consideration will be given for the right candidate depending on experience.
Responsibilities
Video Production:Produce high quality videos of varying lengths. Some examples of video lengths include spot ads (a few seconds), capabilities videos (a few minutes), and training and culture videos (30-60 minutes).
Produce video in 4K, 1080p, and other resolutions depending on the project.
Own the video production process from concept to completion including research/development, script writing, shot list development, logistics planning for filming/recording, scheduling and conducting/filming interviews, filming all content, post-production services, motion graphics creation, and voiceovers.
Operate and maintain all equipment including digital video and still camera equipment, computer and monitor/s, accessories, visual editing software, etc.
Demonstrate experience in lighting design and sound design.
Advise leadership on video/photo equipment requirements and emerging media practices.
Be the technical subject matter expert and conduct/record corporate webcasts and live events using a platform such as Vimeo, Microsoft Teams live events, Cvent, or other.
Podcasting:Be prepared to help us launch a new podcasting series.
Research, plan, and develop topics and scripts for a new corporate podcasting series.
Record high-quality audio content and perform basic editing to ensure clarity and engagement.
Identify and schedule interviewees, conduct interviews and manage interactions with interviewees.
Promote episodes and engage with listeners on social platforms.
Prior experience in podcasting or radio broadcasting is a plus.
Photography:
Capture high-quality portrait photography in a studio environment, at corporate office locations, at worksites, and at events.
Edit still images using photographic software like Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop, and export images in a variety of formats and sizes.
Print high quality images and mount prints in a variety of formats.
Multimedia Production:Additional tasks may include graphic design and digital illustrations.
Produce or assist in producing marketing collateral such as brochures, posters, flyers, etc.
Produce or assist in producing logos, website graphics, and infographics.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Video/Film Production, Photography, or related audiovisual field. Allowable substitution: Associate degree or technical certification in audiovisual communication and minimum seven (7+) years of experience.
Minimum of five (5+) years of experience in audiovisual production, including hands-on experience with modern AV equipment.
Minimum of five (5+) years of experience with editing software: Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After-Effects, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, and Final Cut Studio.
Experience with PC and Mac operating systems, photojournalism techniques, digital video file conversion, motion graphics, infographics, and still photography.
Strong understanding of production processes, from pre-production to post-production.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced setting.
Familiarity with live streaming technology and platforms.
Strong project management skills are necessary with ability to take visual projects from concept to completion.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time.
Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: There are currently no Security Clearance requirements for this position; however, candidates must be able to successfully pass a background check. Bowhead reserves the right to change this requirement if necessitated by business needs or contractual obligations.
