Position Summary:
The Grill Cook prepares appetizing food using recipes created by Carle Health for Carle visitors and employees. Provides fast and courteous service to all customers while keeping a safe and sanitized work area.
Qualifications:
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS ANSI Accredited Food Handler Certification within 30 days. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Knowledge of materials and methods used in "short order" line cooking in a high volume kitchen. Ability to both read and understand written instructions, and to communicate with supervisors, customers and other food service workers. Versatility to perform a variety of activities involved in the cooking, preparation, and serving of food in a high volume kitchen while following safety and sanitation guidelines provided by McLean County Health Department.
Essential Functions:
Sets up, operates and cleans grill station and kitchen.
Help with putting orders away.
Maintains utensils, equipment and work areas in a clean and sanitary condition.
May perform duties as cashier.
Takes orders from customers and input into point of sales machine.
